Joe Carl (Tib) Thomas age 91 of Lawrenceburg died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Southern Tennessee Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, a Naval Veteran of WWII, retired from the US Post Office after 44 years of service and a member of First Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by one son Joe Earl Thomas of Killen, AL; two daughters Rose (Jack) Merritts of Lawrenceburg and Robyn (Clark) Burlfeine; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Ann Davis Thomas; his parents Monte and Fannie Sanders Thomas; two brothers Jim Thomas and Bobby Thomas and two sisters Ozell Logue and Imogene Bryant.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday, August 22, 2016, at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel with Ben May officiating and interment in Mimosa Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6pm – 9pm Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel.
