She is survived by three daughters Ruby Davenport of Summertown, Frances Lyons of Summertown and Chloe Ann Horton of Ethridge; 9 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 48 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Samuel Sylvester, parents Lindsey Thomas and Mary Aldridge Benefield; two brothers Herman Andrew and Ferman Luther Benefield.
Funeral service will be at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel Monday, April 15, 2013 at 2 pm with Phillip Patton officating and interment in Chapel Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home Sunday, April 14, 2013 5pm ~ 8pm.
