Amanda Leigh Covington-Lewis was born January 5, 1978 in Duncan, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter Covington and Barbara (Daniels) Covington. She passed from this life June 18, 2022 in Round Rock, Texas, at the age of 44. Amanda had lived in Leander since 2015, moving here from San Antonio. She worked as a Mortgage Loan Officer for over 15 years and enjoyed reading, writing poetry and spending time with her family and friends. She and Stanley Lewis were united in marriage on August 12, 2006 in San Antonio.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Daniels Covington; maternal grandparents, Mildred and Rasberry Daniels; paternal grandparents, Andy and Pansy Demis and Curtis and Betty Covington; stepmother, Brenda Covington and her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Spear Lewis, Jr. and Annie Louise Lewis. Amanda leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Stanley Lewis; children, Destiny Lewis, Michael Lewis, Dionne Goodlow, Kingston Lewis and Braxton Lewis; Father, Walter Covington; sister and brother-in-law, Leah Covington-Thigpen and John Thigpen; Stepsister, Samantha Perry; stepbrothers, Michael Powell and Nicholas Powell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barbara Lewis, Jerry Lewis, Betty Bryant and husband Cornelius, Darren Lewis and wife Holly and Darlene Barnes and husband Roderick; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 1200 S Bagdad Road, Leander, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at The Journey Bible Fellowship Church, 3429 Journey Pkwy, Leander, Texas, 78641. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery.
