Ashley was born in Maywood, Illinois, on May 2nd, 1992, to her loving parents Carlos and Michele Montoya. When Ashley was 3 years old, the family relocated to Texas. Ashley had an adventurous, caring, artistic, and determined spirit from her youth. Her kind spirit was shown in her love for animals and was second only to her love of painting and sculpting.
She participated in karate, JROTC, and played the piano by ear. Ashley was saved and baptized at Glad Tidings, and she cherished the opportunity to be in services and to participate in Christmas programs. She was often heard quoting her favorite verse - 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Because of her love for animals and skill in dog grooming, Ashley pursued her Associate degrees in Biology and Veterinary Services. On February 8th, 2022, Ashley received her greatest gift, Theodore “Theo” Alexander Swiatek-Montoya. She treasured every moment that she had with him, and her life became defined by his. She will always be remembered for her beauty, her wonderfully infectious smile and laugh, and her endearing sassy personality.
Ashley is preceded in death by her grandparents, Pete and Lydia Montoya, Felipe and Refugia Alonzo, Aunt Yvonne Bocanegra Montoya, Uncle Enrique (Dreak) Hernandez SR.;Cousins: Lee Gonzales and Benjamin Ojeda. Heaven is promised many times in scripture and again in Revelations 21:4 where it says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.”
