Carol Jean Willprecht-VanSyckel, affectionately known to all as Carol, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 92 in Leander, Texas. Born on July 3, 1932, in Lidgerwood, North Dakota, she was a beacon of spirit, wisdom, and creativity throughout her life. Carol was the cherished daughter of the late Gustav and Alma Willprecht. She grew up in a loving family alongside her brothers, Myron, Earling, and Lowell, all of whom predeceased her. Carol's life was enriched by the love she shared with her late husband, Arlo E. VanSyckel, and her beloved son, Mark Alan VanSyckel, who both preceded her in passing.
Despite these losses, Carol's strength and resilience never wavered, and she continued to be a source of unwavering support and inspiration to her family. Left to honor her memory are her devoted daughters, Sandra Jean Bartlett and Brenda Kay Idso. As a grandmother to six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Carol's legacy of kindness and creativity will undoubtedly live on through the stories and memories they hold dear. In accordance with her wishes, Carol's life will be commemorated in a private gathering where family and friends will have the opportunity to share stories, laughter, and tears, honoring a woman who made this world a brighter place. We bid farewell to Carol Jean Willprecht-VanSyckel, knowing that her legacy will endure through the lives of those she loved and the many hearts she touched.
