David was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Superior, with a
degree in economics and business. In the Air Force he served several tours in Texas, one at
Hickam AFB in Honolulu, one in Vietnam, and one in Washington, D.C.
He and his wife Judy Lavine Polzin were both devoted members of Triumphant Love Lutheran Church in Austin.
Judy preceded him in death. David is survived by his brother James Polzin and sister in law
Susan Polzin of Reston, Virginia, and his niece Elisabeth Long of Bexley, Ohio. In recent years
he treasured the companionship of Diane Lung.
A memorial service will be held at Triumphant Love Lutheran Church on Great Hills Trail.
