Della Mae Rodgers went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2020, at the age of 74. Della was born August 18, 1946 in Austin, Texas and was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Martin and her loving husband, Jerry Rodgers.
Della was a long-time resident of Leander. She had a deep, abiding faith in God that strengthened her throughout life’s challenges. Della was an active member of Lake Hills Freewill Baptist Church and found both joy and purpose in volunteering at Hill Country Community Ministries.
Della is survived by her sister, Billie Wilson, her nieces Lisa Odom and Dawn Wilson, nephew Michael Wilson, and her great-niece and great- nephews, TJ, Zachary, Carlye, Justin and Blake, all of whom meant the world to her. She rests in peace now with the Lord and though she will be truly missed by those of us who loved her dearly, she will always be in our hearts.
For “Aunt Del”: Proverbs 3:5-9
“Trust in God with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear God and turn away from evil. It will be a healing for your flesh and a refreshment for your body. Honor God with your substance and with the first fruits of all your produce.”
In her memory and in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Lake Hills Freewill Baptist Church, 1580 Cypress Creek Road, Cedar Park, Texas.
A private service will be held for Della on Friday, September 25th.
