Dianna Lou (Holts) Herman, age 75, passed away on February 14, 2025, at New Hope Manor Nursing Home in Cedar Park, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18th, 1949, in Orange, Texas, to Morgan Ray Holts and Doris Lee (Williams) Holts. She was a resident of Florence, Texas and was a 1983 graduate of Kilgore College with a degree in Nursing.
From an early age, Dianna displayed a nurturing spirit, one that would later define both her career and personal life. Dianna pursued a career in nursing, dedicating herself to the care and well-being of others. Her compassion touched the lives of many patients and colleagues throughout her 30-year long career in nursing.
Beyond her professional life, Dianna was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her family. She found her greatest joy in supporting and encouraging her loved ones, always offering a warm embrace, a kind word, or a listening ear. She loved to go places and would hop in the car any chance she could get. Dianna met life's many challenges with resilience, including her long battle with diabetes. Her unwavering faith in God and her steadfast love for her family carried her through. Her love for animals lead her to have many pets throughout her life but none more loved then her precious Crystal who was by her side constantly.
Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, Morgan Ray Holts and Doris Lee (Williams) Fogel, her half-sister Terrie Irene Fogel and the Father of her children, Willard Lee Herman.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Michael Shane (Dusti) Herman, Jennifer Michelle Herman, and Amanda Dawn Herman. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kyli Elizabeth (Rick) Carballo, Keylan Shane Herman, Kasyn John Herman, Mikel Ray Herman-Lopez, Marcos Ryan Lopez, Emily Noel Resa, Alexis Dianna Herman, Aleysa Doris Insco, Aliza Dawn-Cecil Insco, Alina Dakota Insco, and great-grandmother to Reveri Lynn Carballo, Ryleigh Elizabeth Carballo, Richard Manuel "Manny" Carballo III, Eden Herman-Lopez, Damien Ryan Herman, Lavina Bailey Herman, Tanna Marie Lucas and Ashton James-Edwardo Hernandez-Insco.
She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Robert Allan (Debbie) Holts of Henderson, Texas, Donna Lynn (Dean) Buffington of Denver, Colorado, and half-brother Bradley Holts of Orange, Texas. Her nephew Chase Allan Holts and her niece Avery Nicole Buffington.
Her love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her family finds peace in the words of Psalm 23: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, honoring Dianna’s lifelong resilience and dedication to helping others.
