

was born on January 23, 1938 in Erick Oklahoma to Dewade and Fern Haddock. Anita grew up
in Erick where she attended Church, school, Girl Scouts, played basketball in high school and
helped out on the family farm. After graduating from high school Anita moved to Norman Okla to
attend the University of Oklahoma. That is where she met Roger Fowler.
Roger and Anita were married on December 26, 1956. Anita and Roger went on to have 6
children. They moved from Norman to Enid OK, then to Wichita Kansas before settling down in
Oklahoma City in 1970. Anita loved to sew, crochet, knit, quilt,garden, bird watch, bake and she
was a great cook. Anita loved children and was passionate about child abuse prevention. She
served as the Director of the Child Care Center for several years at Church of the Savior and
went on to teach child development classes and child care workshops.
Anita was preceded in death by her loving husband Roger. She was also preceded by her
daughters Denise Irene Fowler and Vicki Jeannine Heigele, her sons Randy Lyle Fowler and
Patrirck Kenneth Fowler and her granddaughter Cara Nicole Fowler. She is survived by her
daughter and son in law Debbie and Craig Fowler, her son and daughter in law Michael and
Trayce Fowler, her sister Mary Daubenspeck, her brother David Haddock, 11 grandchildren and
14 great grandchildren.
Anita loved to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball games, she loved to read and she
loved to spend time with her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on February 1 at
the Church of the Savior, 5600 NW. 63rd Street in Warr Acres. A gravesite service will follow.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the care team at University
Village Memory Care in Round Rock TX for their loving care and support during the last year of
her life. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the charity of choice.
