

November 24, 2023. A Graveside Service and burial will be at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery
in Georgetown, Texas on November 30th at 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Hollingsworth was born November 28, 1934, in Vincennes, Indiana, a son of Francis Grant
Hollingsworth and Hazel Hardesty Hollingsworth.
He married Amy Lou Butler on December 26, 1959, in Summum, Illinois.
Survivors include: three daughters, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild: Valerie Hunter of Colorado Springs, Colorado, husband Michael and grandchildren Ginger and McLean Giles, great-grandsons Hunter, Lawson, and Sterling of Elizabeth, Colorado, Jason Kite of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Natalie Murphy of Austin, Texas, husband Mike and grandchildren Cassidy, Haley and Laney; Vilia Bailey of Cedar Park, Texas, husband Bob and grandchildren Mackenzie, Brandy and Ty Trisler of Fairmount, Illinois, great-grandchildren, Ashtyn and Eli Meis, great-great grandchildren Gwendolyn, Scarlett and Roman. Also, brothers Dan Hollingsworth of Paw Paw, Illinois, Dewey and Yvonne Hollingsworth of Sugar Grove, Illinois and sister Gloria and Jack Cross of Champaign, Illinois. He
was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister, Heather Hollingsworth Vinson of
Lavon, Texas.
Mr. Hollingsworth was a successful sales representative in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois before
retiring and moving to Cedar Park, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army as well
as the Army Reserves. He enjoyed travel and adventure, was known for his many stories, loved
his family dearly and was a man who truly knew no strangers.
