Jill Alice Steiner

Jill was preceded in death by the love of her life, John Steiner. She is survived by her brother Harold Reames, Jr. and her children Matthew Steiner (wife Dena), Thomas Steiner (wife Kim Cox), Elizabeth Steiner (husband Lloyd Langston), Paul Steiner (wife Christa), Stacey Steiner Phillips (husband Kim), and Jenny Steiner-Jonhston. She is also survived by her grandchildren Emma Steiner, Tessa Steiner, Sarah Jane Anderson, Hallie Keegan, Jack Keegan, Michael Keegan, Luke Heathcote, Madeline Steiner, Ruby Phillips, Jamie Winter and great-granddaughter Leland Heathcote.

Jill was a talented woman who owned vibrant shops in downtown Bastrop, Texas for many years: The Bird’s Nest and Liza Jane. She was a woman of surpassing intelligence and wisdom. Friends and family would describe her as empathetic, compassionate, and kind. She was an exceptional listener. Customers would frequent her shops for company and advice. She always made others feel heard and seen. Jill was the center of a large circle of friends and family and helped raise multiple generations of Steiners and Keegans who will forever be influenced by her generous and thoughtful approach to life.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
