

Larry was the oldest of two boys born to Lee and Dorothy Rasch in Inglewood, California in 1938.
After graduating from Mount Carmel High School, Larry joined the Air Force in 1956 and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands at an advanced radar warning facility. Upon leaving the Air Force, Larry joined the NCR corporation as a draftsman, with a keen eye for detail he excelled in his work. He worked for several Southern California technology firms, including TRW Systems and Compucorp as an Integrated Circuit layout specialist.
In 1964 Larry and his first wife, Carolynn welcomed a beautiful baby girl they named Laura after his favorite song of the same name, composed by David Raksin. Carolynn died on January 3rd, 1970.
In 1978, he met and married Vickie Eastin and they soon moved to Austin, Texas. Larry led a team of IC specialists at Motorola and then Freescale Semiconductor. Larry was an avid photographer and took pride in the house and yard of their Austin home.
Larry is survived by his wife Vickie Rasch of Leander, Texas; his brother, Bishop Anthony Rasch, of Van Nuys, California; his daughter Laura Kimble of Flower Mound, Texas and her children, Erika Metzger and Kristopher Semeniuk both of Austin, Texas.
A celebration of life may be held in the future after the current concerns of the coronavirus have passed. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, please instead consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association in Larry’s name.
