

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1969 aboard the USS Hancock during the Vietnam War.
On June 15, 1967, Mike married the love of his life, Cheri Lee West. Together they shared nearly 59 years of marriage rooted in love, loyalty, and commitment.
Mike earned his associates degree from San Jacinto College, bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and carried his strong work ethic and practical wisdom throughout his life as he climbed the corporate ladder. He was a Vice President and Recruiting Manager for several fortune 500 companies before starting his own executive search firm recruiting oil and gas business executives.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheri Lee West; who was the love and foundation of his life; his sons, Michael Todd West and Mark Jason West, in whom he took immense pride and joy; and his ten grandchildren.
Mike had a deep love for music and could often be found listening to his favorite songs or playing guitar, as he was in a band in high school as well as playing sports at Eastwood High School. He enjoyed riding his Harley and embraced the freedom of the open road. A loyal sports fan, he followed his teams faithfully throughout his life, with his favorite teams being the Arizona Diamondbacks, Houston Cougars, Denver Broncos, Texas Longhorns, Arizona State and Navy. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Mike knew his immense knowledge of sports and stats and the business world.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, proud father, and faithful friend whose legacy lives on with his family.
