Patricia “Pat” Ann Jeschke, age 79, passed away in Austin, Texas. In a final, beautiful testament to her life’s work, Pat ended her life doing what she enjoyed most—bringing her family together. A woman of unwavering faith, deep devotion, and famously strong opinions, she leaves behind a legacy of strength and unity.
A Life of Purpose
Born on August 31, 1946, in Indianola, Mississippi, to Elva and Benny Davis, Pat was raised in Belleville, Illinois. She graduated from Belleville High School and remained deeply connected to the community where much of her family still resides.
Pat took great pride in her professional success as a sales representative at Waste Management, Inc. While she excelled in her career, her most cherished roles were those of wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the bedrock of her family—a woman who spoke her mind, stood by her faith, and loved her people fiercely. Whether she was offering sage advice or engaging in a spirited debate, you always knew exactly where you stood with Pat; that honesty and her commitment to keeping her family close were her greatest gifts.
