

Sue was born Nov. 6, 1951, in London, England, and grew up in Clinton, Iowa. She attended Clinton High School where she played the clarinet in the marching band and was a member of the school newspaper. After high school, Sue attended the University of Iowa, graduating in 1976 with a journalism degree. Later, Sue enjoyed a long career as a system and software engineer at ACI Worldwide and Dell Technologies.
Sue had many passions and hobbies, including photography, traveling and hiking. Sue loved taking photos of her many travels and hiking trips. She also had a small business where she took photos at horse shows, another one of her passions. Throughout her life, she was an animal lover, having a horse, donkey, mule and many dogs and cats.
Sue fought a long and courageous battle with colon cancer defying many odds along the way and serving as an inspiration to so many, including her wonderful care team at MD Anderson in Houston.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and John, her beloved aunt Kit, and several other extended family members in London. She is survived by her sister Kathy and brother-in-law Kim Tack of Liberty Hill, Texas, and her niece Julie (Joe) and her great niece (Sophie) and great nephew (Ross) Monzo of Evanston, Illinois. She is also survived by her countless friends in Liberty Hill and the Austin area and across the country.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future.
