

Alfred R. “Spike” Miller, 86, of Lebanon, PA, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Emma L. Weise Miller, who died in 2009. He was born in Cleona on March 24, 1928, a son of the late Alfred W. and Florence Long Miller. He was employed at Cleaver-Brooks Inc., retiring in 1994. Spike was a member of the First Evangelical Congregational Church of Lebanon and a graduate of Milton Hershey Industrial School. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed reading books. He was an avid baseball fan and loved following the Cleveland Indians. He is survived by sons, Richard W. Miller husband of Donna McCole of Temecula, CA; Gary L. Miller of Lebanon; David A. Miller husband of Sharen Miller of Myerstown; daughters, LuAnn Christ and Tina L. Miller both of Lebanon; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Miller husband of Arlene Miller and Clyde Miller husband of Barbara Miller both of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Furman and a brother, Kenneth Miller. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon with a viewing beginning on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Interment will be made in the Covenant Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Evangelical Congregational Church, 607 Chestnut St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
