Betty K. Schlegel

Betty K. Schlegel, 89 of Lebanon, passed away at the home of her daughter, Betty on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She was born in Shamokin, PA on June 21, 1928, a daughter of the late William Sr. and Maud Herb Alvord. Betty was the wife of the late Chester A. Schlegel who passed away April 7, 1997. Mrs. Schlegel volunteered at the Senior Center, Lebanon and enjoyed attending Elder Care in Lebanon. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Lebanon. Surviving are her Children: Lois Schlegel of Lebanon; Gary, husband of Joni Schlegel, Palmyra; John, husband of Jennifer Schlegel, Campsprings, MD; William, husband of Rebecca Schlegel, Zachary, LA; Betty, wife of Raymond Sidle, Lebanon; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Hlavaty of Georgia and Twila Wilson of Connecticut. Betty was predeceased by a sister and brothers. A funeral service will be held in Covenant United Methodist Church, 346 N. 9th St, Lebanon, PA, 17046 on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:00AM with a visitation from 9:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Covenant Greenwood Cemetery. Contribution may be made in Betty’s memory to her church or Hospice For All Seasons Foundation, 280 South Hill Drive, Grantville, PA, 1702 or the charity of your choice.
