Charles R. Sweitzer I

Charles R. Sweitzer I, 71, of Lebanon died Thursday, April 7, 2011 in Manor Care Health Services, Lebanon. He was the husband of Pauline M. Eck Sweitzer. He was born in Lebanon on April 24, 1939, son of the late John A. and Kathryn M. Hivner Sweitzer. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and was a veteran in the U.S. Navy during peacetime. He retired from the Hershey Chocolate Co. after 34 years of service. Charles was an avid photographer and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Charles R. Sweitzer II, Bainbridge, PA; Brenda wife of Jeffrey Rosepink, Bainbridge, PA; Barry A. Kohr, Mary C. Kohr, Andrew R. Kohr all of Lebanon; grandchildren: Joshua, Elizabeth, Kyle, Amanda, Melissa, Travis, Brittany, Tyler, Alexander, Nadia, Cooper; siblings: Arnetta Reichard, Arlene Groft, Grant Switzer, Mary Jane Kugler, Sara Ciccone, Barbara Wallett, Glenn Sweitzer and Dennis Hivner. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert, Richard, Donald, John and sisters: Marion and Cathryn. Family and friends are invited on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 to the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon where a funeral procession will form promptly at 9:30 AM. A graveside service will be conducted in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville at 10:00 AM by Chaplain Richard Morris from the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
