Clarence E. Nye, 90, of Lebanon, passed away in his home on Sunday, May 30, 2021. He was the husband of the late Beatrice B. Borger Nye. He was born in Campbelltown on April 23, 1931, son of the late Daniel and Lottie Chilcote Nye. Clarence was employed as a barber for 44 years, owning Nye’s Barbershop for 28 years. He was a member of the Kochenderfer’s United Methodist Church in Lebanon and served in the US Army from October 1952 to September 1954. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, going to the beach and spending time with his family. Clarence is survived by a daughter, Susan Smith of Lebanon; Daniel Nye and his significant other Dorothea Yordy of Cleona; grandchildren, Samuel Nye; Emily Ebersole and husband Delwyn; great granddaughter, Sophia Ebersole. He was preceded in death by son, John Daniel Nye; great granddaughter, Alyssa Ebersole; sister, Laura Nye. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 am in Kochenderfer’s United Methodist Church, 1105 Kochenderfer Road, Lebanon, PA 17046, with a viewing beginning on Friday at 10:00 am. Interment in the Kochendefer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lebanon Rescue Mission, 1223 Bittner Blvd., Lebanon, PA 17046.
