

Daniel W. Swisher III, 73, entered eternal rest suddenly on July 1, 2023 at his home. He was born on June 27, 1950 in Lebanon and was son to the late Daniel Wagner Jr. and Anna Louise (Thompson) Swisher. Daniel is survived by his lifetime partner of 50 years Deborah Gibson and his son Corey A. Swisher. In addition Daniel was a sibling to William Swisher, Carl Swisher, Michael Swisher, Lori Eckert, Jayne Swisher. Daniel was preceded in death by his brothers, James Swisher, Donald Swisher, John Swisher, and Lyle Swisher. Daniel was a Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 4 years and continued service in the Pennsylvania National Guard 201st Civil Engineering Flight later redesignated as 201st Red Horse Squadron for 12 years. Daniel retired as a telephone technician repairman for Verizon Telephone. Daniel was an avid car show enthusiast and is known for his signature 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air. Daniel traveled the country showcasing his prized vehicle achieving numerous accolades and awards. The last 15 years of Daniel’s life was spent doing what he loved the most and building a car show series which has now grown to 5 shows. Daniel was often seen walking around car shows handing out flyers for his series and socializing with other enthusiasts. His mark on the world will also be carried on by the countless lives he touched through his passion for the automotive industry. When Daniel isn’t at a car show, he can often be found at his home tending to various animals he has acquired through the years. Daniel had a special place in his heart for animals and enjoyed taking care of them. A Funeral Service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St, Lebanon, PA, 17042. An Evening Viewing will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM and on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM followed by services. Interment will be in Mt. Annville Cemetery, Annville.
