Eugene R Brandt

Eugene R. “Skeeter” Brandt, 66, of Lebanon died Friday, July 22, 2011 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Jane Werni Brandt of whom he would have celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary with on August 14th. He was the son of the late Arthur and Florence Tice Brandt. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a retired machinist with Bayer Corp., Myerstown with 20 years of service. Skeeter worshiped in the Methodist Faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons: James Brandt and his wife Suz, Jonestown; Matthew Brandt and his wife Christine, Lebanon; seven grandchildren; sister: Barbara wife of Fritz Demler, Lebanon; Alice wife of Stan Reifeine, Lebanon; brother: Howard Brandt and his wife Jean, Annville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother: Arthur Brandt; sister: Shirley Brandt and twin sister Evelyn Brandt. Friends and family are invited to his funeral service which will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 PM in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., where a viewing will be held at 12:30 PM until the time of the service. A viewing will also be held on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville with full military honors.
