James A. McLaughlin

James A. “Doc” McLaughlin, Jr., 61, Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday November 25, 2014 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Karen D. Tharp McLaughlin with whom he celebrated a 42nd wedding anniversary in July. He was born in Lebanon on June 18, 1953 a son of the late James A., Sr. and Dorothy Fritz McLaughlin. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Marine Corps and had been employed by Carmeuse. He enjoyed working on cars and helping others repair their cars as a hobby. In addition to his wife he is survived by children: James A. McLaughlin, III, Richard P. McLaughlin, Heather J. wife of Daniel Carpenter, Cornwall; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers: Tracy McLaughlin, Lebanon; John and wife Kelly McLaughlin, Mt. Joy; sisters: Marian Sechrist, Hershey; Elaine Bashore, Lebanon; Sharon wife of Jeff Warner, Lebanon. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 where a viewing will begin at 12:00 P.M. Interment will be made with full military honors at the National Cemetery at Ft. Indiantown Gap.
