John A. “Andy” Bates, 44, Lebanon, passed away on Thursday May 21, 2015 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Lebanon on July 23, 1970 a son of John H. Bates, Lebanon and Linda L. Sonnon Bates, Lebanon. He was a 1988 Graduate of Cedar Crest High School. Andy was an avid bowler who was a member of the US Bowling Congress and enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of the Eagles Club and various other community social organizations. In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by an aunt: Shirley A. Myers and an uncle Jeffrey D. Sonnon as well as his favorite pup: Millie. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 where there will be a viewing on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. and Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. to the time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, Pa 17067.
