Jonell Ann Steckbeck, 88, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, in Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, comforted by the presence of her family. She was born on May 12, 1937, in Lebanon; a daughter of the late Anna (Williamson) and John Brucker.
Jonell worked as a cook for over 30 years. She loved to feed people, both professionally and from the heart. She was a life-long member and cook at Maennerchor Social Club, a cook and bartender for the Elks Lodge, and a faithful member of Saint Gertrudes. She was known for her Hungarian specialty, chicken paprikash. Jonell also enjoyed reading and she adored spending time with her family, who meant the world to her.
She is survived by her children, Kerry L. (Catherine) Wolfe, Kevin L. (Michele) Wolfe, Kenneth E. Wolfe, and Judy A. Meyer; a sister, Adele Joyner; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 7 great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Roy E. Wolfe; her second husband, Michael D. Steckbeck; a son, Larry R. Wolfe; and two sisters, Rosevita Dove and Elaine Brownsberger.
