Genevieve Adelaine Marie Fortin-Hawboldt

Genevieve Adeline Marie Fortin-Hawboldt was born on November 3, 1946 to Alida & Emile Fortin and grew up in Perigord, Sask. Genevieve worked at the Coop in Saskatoon after leaving Perigord. In May 1973, Genevieve married Andrew Hawboldt while living in Saskatoon, Sask. After marriage, Genevieve and her family lived in various locations in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Genevieve passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Salem Manor Long Term Care Nursing Home in Leduc, Alberta.

Genevieve was predeceased by her parents, Alida and Emile Fortin; sisters Lorraine and Florence and brother Charles.

Genevieve is survived by sisters Docile, Joan, brothers Gregoire, Cyril and Camille. Genevieve is also survived by her husband of 50 years, Andrew; daughter, Alida and grandchildren Divine, Jon Michael, Lorde and Ezra.

Genevieve wished to be cremated and her ashes buried beside her parents in Perigord, Sask. Genevieve was a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Genevieve was a devoted Catholic and prayed frequently to our Mother Mary. Genevieve is no longer suffering but has experienced a joyful reunion with her parent and family. May Genevieve rest in a joyful peace and know all who had the opportunity to get to fully know her, will miss her.
