August 17, 1954 – January 5, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Neil Jacobs from Devon, Alberta on Tuesday January 5th, 2016 at the young age of 61 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Cathy of 30 years, sons Christopher (Yainelis) and Eric, siblings Terry (Thelma), Janice (Jim) Campbell, Fern (Graeme) Mackedie, Grant (Janice), Dale (Shirley), Chuck (Shelley) and mother Marguerite Marie Gray plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Neil was predeceased by his father Andrew John Jacobs and step-father Thomas Albert Gray.
Neil was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local 146, then began working independently in the Oilfield Construction Industry throughout Canada and overseas in Yemen.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 – 4 pm on January 16, 2016 at the Devon Legion, 6 Huron Street, Devon, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
