Born on September 20, 1955, at the Edmonton General Hospital, Trish was a lifelong Edmontonian whose life was defined by love, care, and quiet strength. Throughout her adult years, she preferred the name Trish—a name that reflected the warmth and familiarity she offered so naturally to those around her.
Trish was the beloved daughter of John and Ruby Demuynck, and a cherished sister to Carol and her husband Don, as well as to her brother Randolph, who predeceased her. Family was always at the heart of Trish’s life, and her bonds with those she loved remained deeply important to her.
She was a devoted mother to Chad Edwards and Scott Edwards; the latter having predeceased her. Trish was a mother who was always present—steadfast, caring, and dependable. Her children knew they could rely on her without question, and that unwavering support defined her role as a parent. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Harmony.
Trish became a Registered Nurse, a profession that reflected her compassion and dedication to helping others. Nursing was not simply a career, but an expression of who she was—calm, attentive, and deeply empathetic.
In 1999, Trish made her home in Twin Brooks, South Edmonton, where she built a life filled with stability and care. She shared more than twenty loving years with her spouse, David Moore, the love of her life and constant companion. Together, they created a life rich in shared memories, both simple and extraordinary.
Among those memories was a once-in-a-lifetime African safari, a journey that reflected Trish’s quiet courage and sense of adventure. Earlier in life, she also embraced the challenge of learning to ride a motorcycle, sharing that experience with her former husband, Kenneth Eric Edwards, from whom she divorced in 1999.
Trish also found comfort and companionship in her beloved husky, Phoenix, who remained close by her side.
A beautiful wife, a loving mother, and a steady presence to all who knew her, Trish passed far too soon. Her kindness, strength, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Patricia’s cremation has been entrusted to Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel in Leduc.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at the University of Alberta Hospital for their care and compassion.
