It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Banik announces his passing during his stay at the Mazankowski Heart Institute. Left to cherish his memories are his sister Barbara Martinson (Arden), brothers Ed and Wally (Anna), nieces Carla Fisher (Werner), Marsha Derechey (Jordan) and Lisa Fenske, nephews Ryan Martinson and Michael Banik (Michelle), great nephews and nieces, Cale, Kye, Jayee, Britney, Chloe and Jessica.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Bill and Bernice Banik. Funeral services were held at the United Church in Leduc and arrangements by Hainstock and Son Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stoke Foundation.
