Carlis Michael Venable

Mr. Venable was preceded in death by his mom, Audrey Leachman Venable, his sister, Marilyn Venable Boatwright.

He is survived by his dad, Carlis Venable, sister, Teresa Venable Brooks (Frank), brother, Steven Venable, nephews, Michael Brooks (Kiesha), Brandon Boatwright (Anita), nieces, Lee Ann Mooney (Thomas), Lene Venable, Leah Venable, (9) great nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and a multitude of friends.

Mickey was a faithful member of New Lebanon Baptist Church. He was a great lover of Southern Gospel music. He sang solos at his church as well as other churches. Mickey has been the face of St. Clair County High School Football for the past 38 years, serving as equipment manager. Mickey said “I love being around the players and coaches.” Last but not least, Mickey was a Huge Auburn Fan!!

Any donations should be made to St. Clair County High School Football Program. SCCHS Football Team and Coaches will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church from 5 PM until 8 PM.

Services will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11 AM at Bethel Baptist Church, where he will lie in state from 10 AM until service time with burial at New Lebanon Cemetery.
