I did not have the honor of knowing Casey personally but I did know of him as Caitlyn's brother. I have to tell you all that I admired the relationship that he and Caitlyn seemed to have. It was obvious they were close. I cannot imagine how hard this is. My heart breaks every time I think of your family and the suffering that this has brought you. I have prayed for you and will continue to do so. May God give you strength, rest and comfort. It was an honor to know Casey and to have him as a part of my church family and our youth group. I don't believe there was time that he didn't come up and put his arm across my shoulders and lean his head around to me and give me that one of a kind smile of his. He was such a sweetheart. I consider myself truly lucky to have been blessed with knowing him. 
Christy- we have been friends from the first day we worked together. We have sat together many times and laughed and cried. I can't remember one time that Casey didn't flash that charming smile at me. I have to admit that it always seemed to brighten my day and make me forget my worries. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to serve such a great young man. He was always very well mannered. Casey will surley be missed but never forgotten.

Just as others have commented on, Casey had such a sweet contagious smile and disposition.  He and my daughter, Morgan, had been friends for several years and she has such fond memories of how much fun Casey was to be around.  Casey was always such a polite and mannerable young man, and our entire family extends our sincere condolences.  May God continue to give you the strength I witnessed your family had last night.  You are in our prayers.

Our family didn't know this young man, but many of our teenagers in our youth group did. Our hearts are heavy for you all during this time & will be lifting you up in prayer as you go thru the coming days. Dear Craig, Christy, and Caitlyn, My heart goes out to all of you! I watched Casey grow up with my sister Megan from K5. He was an amazing person. He always knew how to put a smile on someones face. I loved how whenever he would come to Megans birthday parties or go to Six Flags with us he was always so shy around new people, but by the end of the night he was always the life of the party. We don't understand why this happened but God has a plan. He just needed a new Angle with a bright smile in Heaven. Now he is watching down over all of us. He will always be in our hearts. Casey was a really amazing person and a really good kid. He would always make your day better if you were having a bad day no matter how horrible it was. Craig, I have known you my whole life. Christy, you and I have shared many heartfelt conversations. I love you both very much. I am very blessed to have gotten to share Casey with you. I was always happy to see him coming. He was always welcome at my house. He was kind and gentle and always had the biggest smile. He knew exactly what to do to lift my spirits when I was down. Craig I am so glad that our boys, like us, were friends. Thank you for allowing him to come to my house and go places with us. I am so sorry for your loss.  I did not know your son, but my daughter is a lifeguard at the Y in Trussville also.  She has been away at college and was coming back to work for the holidays. Charles Casey Hare was one the best guys you will ever meet. He always had a smile. He was always in a great mood. If you were in a bad mood, his smile would always lift you up. Everyone loved him. No one will ever forget him. I just wish he didn't have to go so early. But, God has a plan for this. L.F.C.H!!! I Love You!

Casey was an amazing young man. He was sweet and caring and loved everyone just as everyone loved him. This was a terrible tragedy. Casey was outgoing, and always had a smile on his face. It was the prettiest smile too. Having to go to school without him being there as a classmate will hurt. It will hurt every single person at my school whether they were his friend or not. I'm going to miss seeing him out in the hallwayy dancing in his yellow sweater. I'll miss hearing that laugh in the lunchroom in the mornings. It is so hard writing this. I will ALWAYS remember Casey and all the memories.
