Donald Ray Sims, age 61, of Moody, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Donald was born December 4, 1960. Donald is preceded in death by his grandparents, Onnie Sims, Jesse Sims, Clarence Inman and Elma Inman; parents, Doris Inman Sims and Ray A. Sims. Donald is survived by his wife of 37 years Peggy Cooley Sims; sons, Donald Chase Sims (Rachel) and Wesley Cole Sims; brother, David Sims; grandchildren, Oliver Ray Sims and Quinn Mackenzie Sims; niece, Raechel Sims Herron; nephew, Nathan Sims. A visitation will be held on Thursday October 6, 2022 from 1:00-2:00PM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a service to follow at 2:00PM. Burial will be at Sulphur Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ALS Associations 300 Cahaba Park Circle Suite 209. Birmingham Alabama, 35242.
