

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Pat, and their daughter Kristi Demos (Tony) and her children Sean and Evan Denson. He is also survived by Pat’s children Karen Faircloth (Robert), Mike Spence, Eddie Spence, and Kathy Wyse (Johnny) and their children and grandchildren.
Don served in the United States Army and was retired from the Alabama Air National Guard 117th Division where he was a refrigeration specialist. He was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a past member of multiple dance clubs. He was the booming bass voice in the Standifer Brother Gospel Music Quartet.
Don had an infectious smile. He loved to drink a cup of coffee and carry on a conversation. He was warm and welcoming and loved life.
Visitation will be at 1 pm On Monday, October 26 with a Funeral Mass to follow promptly at 2 pm at St. Theresa Catholic Church with interment at Forest Crest Cemetery.
