She was a longtime member of Crestway Baptist Church in Birmingham.
Edna is survived by her daughters: Grace P. Ballard, Sue P. Mooney, & Mary P. Cox; sons: E. Lewis Penfield Jr. & John M. Penfield Sr.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 1:00 PM. at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale, AL. Her Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Gideons International or the missions fund at your local church.
