Frank Emery Simpson

Emery Simpson, 79 of Leeds, AL, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020. Mr. Simpson served his country in the United States Army from 1966 through 1968. He was employed at Hardie Tynes Manufacturing and he was an avid drag racer. He is survived by his wife, Karen Campbell Simpson, his daughter, Renee Peoples (Matt), his brothers, Jack and Shirley Simpson, Joe and Becky Simpson, and Stewart and Billie Ann Simpson, his daughter-in-law, Tammy Butterworth (Bruce) and grandson, Evan Michael Simpson. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda West Simpson, his son, Michael Simpson, parents, Roscoe & Mabel Simpson, sisters, Mary Rodgers, Lois May, Elsie Faye Sweatt and brothers, Eulan Simpson and Wayne Simpson. The service for Mr. Simpson will be Thursday January 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds, AL. Burial to follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Leeds, AL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any disabled veteran’s organization in memory of Mr. Simpson.
