Gregory Schulkers

Gregory Schulkers, age 72 of Leeds, Alabama passed away on Saturday May 11, 2024. Gregory was born on July 3, 1952 to the late Joseph and Catherine (Hunkeler) Schulkers in Dayton, Ohio. Gregory graduated in 1970 from Chaminade High School. Gregory married Cathryn (Owen) Schulkers on Feb 3, 1973. Gregory worked for Rike's until he and Cathryn moved to the Florida Keys in September of 1982 to manage a new business in Islamorada. In 1984 they relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to open a much larger store Viking Import House. They resided there for 30 years after retirement they moved to Leeds, Alabama. Gregory is survived by his wife Cathryn of 51 years. Two Godchildren Mark Miller and Andrea Miller Honious; brother Steven (Carol) Schulkers; brother-in-law, James Owens Jr, nieces and nephews along with many cousins. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents and in laws James and Marie (Wellmeier) Owen, sister in law, Connie Owen Bayman. A special thanks to Michael and Jayne Miller for all the help in the past 9 years. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio at a later date.
