Ivey Keith Lail

Ivey Keith Lail (Keith) of Leeds, Alabama, entered into the arms of his Savior on August 21, 2024. Keith was a loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, and friend, adored by all who knew him.

Born on March 26, 1962, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late William and Veneria Lail, Keith graduated from The University of South Carolina and married his high school sweetheart, Melisa. Hardworking and dedicated, Keith began his career with Jostens as a salesman, bringing a smile to all whose paths he had crossed. He loved Jesus and was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school and served as a deacon. Keith had many hobbies, but his passion was spending time with family and friends. He had a quick wit and loved making people laugh. His favorite role was husband to Melisa and father to Austin.

Keith is survived by his wife of 34 years, Melisa, son Austin, brother Toby (Elaine), and sisters Rachel Childers (Steve) and Renee Graham (Skip).

If any believer earned the words of Christ, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” it was Keith Lail. His humble, gentle demeanor and willingness to fully surrender to the will of God without question or complaint have been an inspiration and encouragement to all who have walked alongside Keith during his extended illness and a demonstration of his unwavering faith in Jesus. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 24, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church at 11am. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. Donations can be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 8332 Moody Parkway, Odenville, AL 35120, in lieu of flowers.
