Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her husband, Talmedge O. Newton; grandson, Dwaine Roper and son in law, Stanley M. Roper. She was a member of Whites Chapel Baptist Church and later attended First Baptist Church of Moody.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Roper; sons, Talmadge J. Newton (Annette), Michael Newton (Ruth); grandchildren, Brian Alan Newton (Jill), Craig Lee Newton (Mary Beth), Jennifer Rosetta (Keith), Michael Dale Newton (Jessica), Tandy Roper; great grandchildren, Ethan Roper, Gage Roper, Aubrey Newton and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds from 1PM until 2PM.
Funeral Services will be held at Kilgroe Leeds Chapel on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2PM with burial at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
