James H. Hayes

James H. Hayes, age 90, of Odenville, Alabama passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents; James Herman Hayes and Ollie P. Hayes, brother; Hubert "Bunkey" Lane Hayes and sister; Cathelene H. Williams. Mr. Hayes was a 1950 Graduate of B.B. Comer high school in Sylacauga, Al, a Korean war veteran in the US Air Force, had a long career in management in the grocery business, member of the Masons for over 50 years and a member of New Life Baptist Church in Odenville. Survivors include his wife of 70 years; Tommie Hayes, sons; James "Jim' H. Hayes Jr (Donna), Timothy "Tim" W. Hayes (Pam), Jonathan D, Hayes (Deandrea), Joel A. Hayes, grandchildren; Jennifer H. Vest, Steven E. Hayes, Rachael Armistead, Jaden J. Hayes, James Dean Hayes, Forrest D. Hayes and Lily G. Hayes and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at New Life Baptist Church in Odenville with burial in Forest Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday August 25, 2021 at New Life Baptist Church from 10-11.
