I remeber lots of wonderful things about my uncle Jesse so many that it would take a 300 page book. I remember the day that Johnathen picked me up from school and took me to uab hospital that day was one of the worst days of my life.. I almost lost my daddy when he had a accident and fail from a tree. I always took care of everything at home especially my little brother Michael. My aunt kay and uncle Jesse offered to take him and watch him , i remeber being upset and told them I didn't need them to take care of him. Uncle Jesse's took me outside and we talked for awhIle he is the one that always made things better and had so much wisdom. That day he helped me realize that i was only 12 and it wasn't fair for me to have to feel like and adult and that it was okay to be a kid and let them help! From then on out if i needed something I would go to my uncle Jesse and aunt kay!! I will miss him so much and have so much love for him and always will! Fly high and watch over all of us left her with out u!!

Our families go back a long time. Had many great times together. One time my two boys got stranded at Jesse's and Kay's house during a winter storm but no worries, I knew they were taken care of.. as usual, all the boys had a great time! I found myself wishing I was there too! Jesse had a way of making everybody feel special. His life was a wonderful example of living the faith and loving your family, being an affectionate and loyal father, grandfather and husband. Jesse left his mark on this earth and will always be remembered..So very glad that you are at peace today, Jesse. We will all see you later, friend. We will be there for your family as you were there for ours. God bless you Kay, T, Johnathan and family..Praying for the Lord's strength in your loss. You were blessed with Jesse as he was blessed with you!! Love and prayers.

Some funny stories! I remember one time dad bought us a new go kart brought it home and pulled the cord to crank it. The go kart took off with him in pursuit with no one driving it! Ice storm of 96 he was video taping while walking across ice and lost his balance feet flew above his head! While working with him I learned many different languages from fingers being smashed! I remember one Halloween he drove a bunch of us around borrowing people's pumpkins from their yard and delivering them to Odenville Police chief Bill Brown's front porch! The man build houses and could scale rafters like a cat! I could continue but you get the point! Great Dad he was the best!

Oh the memories! Where do I begin? Jesse was one of the best men you could ever meet. Our children were all raised together, in church at Odenville Methodist. We were like a huge family, within the church. Our children all played together, spent the night together, and loved every minute together. Jesse made sure the children had lots of laughs. Jesse was loved by all of us. He has served his community well for so many years. If there was someone with a need, he would be one of the first to lend a helping hand. Jesse will be missed by many, especially Kay and their boys. Jesse and Kay have taught their boys how to be men. Both T and Jonathan have cared for their parents as a child should. I’m so very proud of the men they have become. Jesse and Kay have been together for 44 years. There will be days they can’t get through without God’s strength, love and peace. I’m so glad they already know God and His loving kindness. Jesse has a new body now and is having a great time with his dad, brother and many others who have gone before him. Yes, Jesse is already missed here on earth, but we all say, see you later Jesse. I’m sure Jesse’s Heavenly Father said, Well Done Jesse! We will continue to pray for his family and that God’s love will carry them through. We love y’all.

Jesse Henderson taught me how to fix just about anything! He was a great Dad and a good man! I will miss our conversations and jokes! Fishing, hunting, working, so many good memories! Most of all I want to thank him for teaching me to be a hard worker and to love my family! He's the epitome of a great man and Dad! This world was blessed to have him and now he is having a blast in Heaven! See you later my friend! Till i see you again Pops,Love you

I always had the greatest respect for Jesse. He always treated me fairly and never had a harsh word. He treated mt children as his own and was always joyful to see them. Jessie was much like his dad Tommy, I remeber days sitting down at Mr. Hendersons shop cooking goat and telling tales. I will forever remember Jessie as a kind and caring man

Jesse was a good man. My favorite times with him was when he and is brother Jeff got to come and stay the day at the Henderson Service Station owned by their grandad. I would walk down to the station and we would play all day. Mr. Henderson, “Richard”, would always make the day special and might sneak a little work in on us. We would have so much fun. Jeff could build about anything and Jesse and I would try about anything once.
Jesse was a great community servant working in our Fire Department along side his dad, Tommy for many years. They have helped many people that were in all kinds of need. As Vince Gill sings in his song, “Go rest high on that mountain, son your work on earth is done. We love you, we will miss you and we will see you again.
