Mr. Barfield was retired from Steward Machine after 35 years. He was a Little League Coach, a Band Booster, and was actively involved with a metal detecting club and motorcycle club. He attended the First Baptist Church of Leeds.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Clem Barfield; sons, Jonathan Barfield (Marcie), Stephen Barfield (Rachael Gatlin); brothers, William Terry Barfield (Diane) and Phillip Barfield; father and mother-in-law, Billy and Mary Alice Clem. Joe will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds from 5:30PM until 7:30PM.
Funeral Services will be held at Kilgroe Leeds Chapel on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2PM with burial at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
