We knew Johnny from eBay--he was always one of our favorite buyers--always extremely courteous and friendly. We heard about his death today--March 4--and feel very bad that we will not hear from him anymore. We knew him as a dedicated collector of Alabama recordings and passionate and devoted to the music he loved. We are comforted viewing the photos posted online and the guest book entries--he was a very special guy and we will miss him. Anytime we hear an obscure Alabama 45 from the 50s & 60s we will think of Johnny. Rest In Peace, Johnny.

My Uncle Johnny was such a kind hearted individual who loved life. I will miss all the wonderful times spent and most certainly our games of poker with the family. :) Rest in paradise, Uncle Johnny! I love and miss you dearly!!

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your father.  You and  your entire family are in my prayers.

Johnny may be the kindest and most thoughtful person I've ever met.  The time I was able to spend with him will be very prized memories.  I always looked forward to his visits to Delaware and had such a good time making it back to Alabama last year.  Johnny was a special man and will be greatly missed.

I don't need to tell anyone who knew Johnny that he was a great friend - would do anything for you. In addition to being my brother, he was certainly my best friend.  I'll always remember all the good times we had together.  Johnny really enjoyed life.  I would say, at one time or another, Johnny owned every car he ever wanted and got a lot of enjoyment going to car events.  Usually one of the first people there and last to leave, knew about everybody. I would also say Johnny went to all the places he wanted to go, between car events, visiting relatives, record shows, he enjoyed his retirement. But we all know, Katie was the love of his life; every time we saw him, he would mention her and something she is doing or involved in.  Johnny - I thank you for being a great brother and a great friend.

My prayers are with you. Johnny will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Thank you for sharing the photo gallery of Johnny...meant so much to be able to see all those wonderful pictures.  Katie, you were the apple of his eye - he was so proud of you!     We are thankful he visited us just a few weeks ago -- we had a great time.   Johnny, we love you.

Johnny, you hold a very special place in my heart.  You were always such a ray of sunshine.  Heaven is a much happier place with you there.  Katie, Bobby, Kathy, & Bill you are in my prayers.  Love you all.

Our God is so great!  He blessed us with a great friend for so many years. I pray Johnny's family finds comfort in our Lord.  Rest in peace Johnny.

The world is a poorer place with your passing, but we are all better for having known you.

Our only regret is that we did not know him longer.  Johnny was such an incredible person and he will be deeply missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this very difficult time.

Heaven has one of the sweetest men I know!  Johnny, you were a treasured friend and are greatly missed.  May God comfort your family as only He can do and I rejoice in knowing one day I will see you again in heaven.

The way Johnny lived his life was his true testimony. The Johnny I knew was a Christian man who  had a smile for everyone, followed up by sharing his great personality. He went out of his way to help anyone, while always not wanting recognition for it.

He was so proud of you. I am so saddened by his passing, there will always be a hurt place in my heart. My life was truly blessed with his friendship. Your wonderful memories will help you in the future.

May God send peace and comfort to your family during this time of sorrow. Johnny was my mentor when I first arrived at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and I worked with him until he retired. Johnny's smile and his laughter will *definitely* be missed.

Johnny was one of a kind. His family can know that Johnny did make a difference in this world.  He will be missed.

Our prayer is that family members and friends are overwhelmed with God's comfort and peace.  Treasure and enjoy the memories .. they last forever.

I was so sorry to learn of this. I enjoyed having Johnny in my classes and came to know him as a gently and kind man. He will be missed. The family will be in my prayers.
