Johnnie Lou Sanders

She was born November 7, 1939, and was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Geolah Beason Stovall.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert Sanders, sister Imogene Coupland, and brother-in-law Joe Coupland.

Johnnie Lou was a faithful member of Odenville Presbyterian Church for 70 years, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and pianist. She retired from the St. Clair Co. school system in 1994, where she taught elementary school for 31 years.

Johnnie Lou is survived by one son, Brad Sanders (Kelli) and one daughter Salli Bauer (Jay), four grandchildren, Garrett Sanders, Anna Lea Sanders, John David Bauer, and Madeline Bauer, as well as nieces, nephews, and other close family members.

She will receive family and friends on Saturday, October 22, from 11 AM to 1 PM with a service beginning at 1 PM, at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds, Alabama. A graveside service and burial will be held immediately following at Liberty Cemetery in Odenville, Alabama.
