June Ash

Alabama.

June was born on March 5, 1929, in St. Clair County, to Mr. and Mrs. James

William Isbell ( Icie Lea Moore). She had 2 brothers, Hoyle, and Clayton, and 3

sisters, Lucille Leachman, Mozelle Eagan, and Elizabeth Shaw. In 1947, June

married John Michie Goss, having two children, Lea Brunson ( Ron) and Ellen

Hand (Dan). John passed away in 1954. June married Charles Edwin Ash on

October 8, 1961. They had two children, Charles Shannon Ash (Cindy), and Amy

Ash. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, brothers and sisters.

June graduated from Leeds High School in 1947. She was the first Miss Leeds,

and has stayed in touch with her graduating class over the last seventy years. June

stayed active in her community and church. June and Charlie were active

members of the St. Clair County Gideons.

June was the best mother and a wonderful cook. Her children, grandchildren, and

great grandchildren will cherish the memories of holidays, and getting to choose

our special birthday dinners. Her grandchildren include Tracy Hood (Jake), Kyle

Brunson, Logan Buffington, Shellie Files, and Brady Ash. Her great

grandchildren are TJ and Rayleigh Hood.

Funeral service will be on Sunday, October 8, Bethel Baptist Church, Moody,

Alabama. Visitation at 3:00, and funeral at 4:00. Kilgore of Leeds is presiding.
