

A family viewing was held October 27 at 4:00 in Leeds, AL, at the Kilgroe Funeral Home.
His ashes will be buried next to his deceased Father, Alfred DeVerne Stober and Brother, Raoul Vaughn Stober, at the Main Station Cemetery near Moravia, Iowa, at a later date.
He is survived by his Daughter, Kerry Stober Watson and Son-in-Law Joel Watson, of Riverside, AL.
He is also survived by his Mother, Carolyn (Carol) Boyer Stober of Talladega, AL, and two Sisters, Jackie Lynn Stober Garner of Durant, OK, and Victoria Jean Stober Kreger of Lansing, KS.
Kevin attended Leavenworth High School in Kansas, and his hobbies were Softball, Volleyball, Tennis, Bowling, Wrestling, and he loved working on Cars and riding motorcycles.
He attended one year of Trade School in Columbia, MD, Continuing Education Courses at Kansas State University and one year of College at Kansas City Community College in Drafting and Design.
From 1976-1978 Kevin worked for the Leavenworth County Regional Planning as a Draftsman, from 1978-1979 he worked for Leavenworth Abstract and Title Co., and from 1979 to 1985 he worked for the Leavenworth County Engineers. From 1985-1987 he did surveying for Utility Consultants and Black and Veach Engineering.
He moved to Alabama and worked at AutoZone in Talladega as a Manager probably from his interest in cars (he owned 2 convertible Mustang ponies and always repaired and worked on them himself until he died).
He worked for C.B. Inc and then Sain Associates until 1993 when he began working for Gonzalez-Webb (now Gonzalez-Strength Associates) a Civil Engineering Company in Hoover, AL.
His dedication to his work was almost always his first priority and his favorite latest projects seemed to be working on several southern states Buc-ee’s plans and The Church of the Highlands projects in Alabama and the southeast.
Kevin attended the Church of the Highlands in Pelham, AL, and often participated in their community projects. The Priest of the Church dedicated a novena of prayers daily for Kevin until November 4, 2022.
Kevin was an avid Alabama Football fan. Him and his dog, Coco watched every game Alabama played on T-V together at his home. They also followed the Talladega Races at the Talladega Race Track on television. Coco and Kevin were tight buddies from the first day they met when Coco was a puppy.
At Christmas time Kevin was always generous to family close or far from Alabama with gifts for relatives. Any family member or friend was invited to eat Christmas dinner hosted at either his house, Kerry’s house or Mom Stober’s house (pre- decided) and enjoy a live gift exchange after the meal.
Kevin loved his family and often Alabama kin planned a Thanksgiving dinner together too. 2022 Holidays will not be the same without Kevin.
