Ned served his country in the United States Marines. He retired from Serv-Rite Meat Company in California. He was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Newton; his son, Lonnie Newton (Karen) of Arvada, CO; 4 grandchildren: Brendon Newton, Courtney Ann Newton, Cassie Newton and Hannah Newton all of Arvada, CO.
The Family will receive friends Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:30 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, AL.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
