

Peggy Diane Evins was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 25, 1936. She went to sleep in Jesus on October 29, 2024 with the assurance of the resurrection and an eternal home in heaven with her family and friends. Peggy was 88 years old.
Peggy was raised in the Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, but later in life, she joined the rest of the family in membership in the Birmingham First Seventh-day Adventist Church. Peggy remained a devout Seventh-day Adventist until her death.
Peggy went to work right after graduating from Fairfield High School. She was an expert typist and was offered a job at the headquarters of Tennessee Coal and Iron Company, a division of U.S Steel Corp. Peggy later became a Certified Dental Hygienist and practiced for 25 years.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Greek, her older sister, Joan Evins, her Mother, Virginia Evins, and her “Daddy”, Clarence Evins, Sr.
Peggy is survived by her sister, Ginger (Murrell, Sr.) Tull and her brother, Lee, (Barbara) Evins, and nephews Ron Tull, Murrell, Jr. (Danette) Tull, Richard (Jenny) Evins, Joseph (Sara) Evins, and Lorie (David) Topham, along with 13 grand-nephews and grand-nieces and several cousins.
The funeral service will be conducted at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama, on November 3, 2024. Visitation will be at noon, followed by the memorial service at 1 PM. The service will be officiated by Dr. Murrell S. Tull, Sr.
Interment will be at Cook Springs Baptist Church where she will be laid to rest beside her previous husband, Robert (Bob) Greek.
