Raymond served honorably as a Sargent in the US Air force during both the Korea and Vietnam eras. He retired from the Air Force with over 20 years of faithful service.
He was a proud member of Odenville Masonic Lodge 705, and Zamora Shrine Temple in Birmingham. Raymond also was a member of American Legion Post 0170, Veterans of Foreign Wars post 668 and the Disabled American Veterans Commanders Club.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Agapito D. and Adela Schwartz Torres and his son Shawn Torres.
He is survived by sister, Erlinda T. Morales; brothers: Eduardo, Ruben & Manuen Torres and multiple nieces, nephews and other family members.
