Mr. Wingo was a deacon of First Baptist Church of Moody as well as a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 1968. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger Wallace Wingo,Sr. and Erma Bishop Wingo.
Mr. Wingo is survived by his wife of 50 years, Suzanne Bishop Wingo; son, Gregory Alan Wingo, Sr.; daughters, Wendy Wingo Cimorelli (Randy) and Amy Wingo Conwill (Bryan); sisters, Carolyn Wingo Clements and Linda Wingo Gilbert (Van); 8 grandchildren, Christian Anthony Lill, Gregory Alan Wingo, Jr., Cody Lance Wingo, Jacob Matthew, Anna Grace Cimorelli, Matthew Alexander Conwill, Michael Austin Conwill, and Lauren Olivia Cimorelli
The family will receive friends Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10AM- 11:45AM at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds, AL. Graveside Service will follow at 1:15PM at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
