Victoria Vance Maxey

Victoria "Vicki" Maxey died Thursday November 20, 2014 in Leeds, Alabama following a five year struggle with cancer. Vicki was born in Bristol, Tennessee April 7, 1954. She is survived by her husband David, their children Stephanie, Will, Nate (Brett), Nick, granddaughter Henley and grandson Vance, her parents Alonzo and Peggy Vance of Bristol, Tennessee and her sister Kim (Terry) Johnson of Knoxville, Tennessee. A graveside service will be held at Bold Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7544 Cahaba Valley Road, Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The family thanks the caring doctors, nurses and staff at St. Vincent Cancer Center, Eye Foundation Hospital and Vanderbilt Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers it was Vicki’s request that memorials be donated to Sheperd Supply Mission, P.O. Box 131 Moody, Alabama 35004 where she spent numerous hours caring and praying for, feeding and clothing those in great need. For years she emailed her "thoughts" on Jesus Christ, family and football to numerous friends and family. She later learned those thoughts were being forwarded to other Christ followers around the U.S.
