Exa Evalie Holley

Evalie was born on July 17, 1912 in Marthaville, LA. she then moved to Hornbeck as a young child. She was well known for her love of animals, flowers and books. Evalie never met a stranger. She had a very outgoing personality and was very active in the community. She was a very energetic person, who loved to work outside no matter the weather.

She is survived by daughter: Pauline Janette Grossmann and husband Klaus of Tampico Tamps, Mexico; son: Stieve E. Holley and wife Myrtie of Hornbeck, LA.; granddaughters: Evalie Janette Grossmann Abrahamsson of Tampico Tamps, Mexico, Hanna Elizabeth Grossmann Brown of Sandy, OR., Joyce Marie Holley of Vinton, LA.; grandsons: Joe Forrest Holley of Hornbeck, LA., Robert Edward Holley and wife Bridget of LaFontaine, In.; 3 great granddaughters: Elsa Janette Abrahamsson, Ella Grace Brown and Indie Meyer; 6 great grandsons: Nicolas Abrahamsson, Andrew Wilhelm Brown, Luke Aiden Brown, Stieve Forrest Holley, Eli Townsend Holley and Mason Meyer.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, LA. Funeral Service will be held Thursday October 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
